GWO Basic Safety Tranings / BST

MIRA Provides Basic Safety Training for Wind Turbines. Mira is the first company in Turkey that started to provide GWO trainings. In addition, it is the only training provider authorized to provide remote / online GWO training. MIRA, as the GWO (Global Wind Organization) Training Center, has the authority to provide internationally valid GWO Basic Safety Training for wind turbines.

GWO (Global Wind Organization) is an organization consisting of Wind Turbine manufacturers and owners of Wind Power Plants, aiming to create a fully safe working environment with zero work accidents for the WPP sector. GWO Basic Safety Training BST includes Working at Height and Rescue, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness and First Aid Training modules for Wind Turbines.

Class Quota 1-12 people (Our trainees who come to our facility are covered by the 3rd Party Financial Liability Insurance.)

Target group For all employees working or just starting out in Wind Power Plants.
Precondition Participants must be physically and mentally fit to work at height. Participant Health Declaration Form is signed before the course.
Training language Turkish, English, German, French
Training Goals Participants who received GWO- Working at Height and Rescue Training; Can safely operate at height in Wind Turbines, use and control equipment accurately. Have the ability to rescue and evacuate themselves or Their colleague working with her by effectively using rescue from height equipment in emergency situation. Gains knowledge of the relevant legislation.
Trainers Consists of experienced people with SPRAT, IRATA, GWO, AHA, etc. certificates who work physically in the fields and transfer the knowledge gained in these studies to our trainees in the trainings.

Training Goals Participants who received GWO-First Aid Training; In the event of a sudden illness or injury, can intervene and save the life of the injured in order to prevent the situation from getting worse until medical help is provided.
Trainers Consists of Mira first aid instructors.

Note After the trainees receive the GWO -BST first aid certificate, they can also have a Ministry-approved first aid certificate by taking the exam of the Ministry of Health.

Training Goals Participants who received GWO- Fire Awareness Training master possible fire scenarios in Wind Turbines. Learns what to do before the fire starts, starts or progresses.
Trainers Consists of firefighters, fire experts and occupational safety experts who work physically in the fields and transfer the knowledge gained in these studies to our trainees in the trainings.

Training Goals Participants who receive GWO-Manual Handling Training learn how to protect their own body while working in wind turbines. Knows the precautions to be taken by knowing the risks in manual handling works.
Trainers Consists of Mira occupational safety experts or first aid trainers.

Note Ergonomic behaviors and positive facts are encouraged with Manual Handling Training. Participants will safely perform manual handling tasks in the wind turbine industry/environment by considering manual handling alternatives with what they have learned.
