GWO BASIC SAFETY TRAINING (BST)

MIRA perform Basic Safety Training (BST) for Wind Turbines.

MIRA, as the GWO (Global Wind Organisation) Training Provider, has the authority to perform GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) for Wind Turbines and give international GWO certificates. The GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) for Wind Turbines include job safety training modules of Working at Height and Rescue, First Aid, Manual Handling and Fire Awareness.
MIRA, perform GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) for Wind Turbines and also SPRAT and IRATA Rope Access Technician Trainings in the Turkey's first and only closed Rope Access and Working at Height Training Center in Izmir.

The Global Wind Organisation (GWO) is an association of Wind Turbine owners and manufacturers with the aim of supporting an injury-free work environment in the wind industry. In response to the demand for recognizable Basic Safety Training (BST) in the industry the members of the GWO have developed a safety standard. The standard ensures that the work of any certified training providers is competent and proficient. To obtain GWO approval, organizations are subject to an in-depth audit process performed by an accredited Certification Body.
The objective of GWO is to enable a common, industry-wide work practice that aims to reduce any safety and health issues for personnel working on site.
Any holder of a GWO certificate is considered competent and knowledgeable within Basic Safety in the wind industry. The members of GWO accept any holder of this certificate as possessing the required knowledge to stop an unsafe work situation.

MIRA - GWO Training Facility

MIRA - GWO Training Facility is the first and only most comprehensive training facility currently existing in the country with its escape platforms suitable for any manoeuvre related with Rope Access and Working at Height, air conditioned seminar room, 500 square meters closed space with resting room and 12 metres ceiling height. Since it allows any training, MIRA gives all of its trainings in its Working at Height and Rope Access Center in Izmir.

Mira certified as GWO Training Provider

MIRA Rope Access and Working at Height Training and Consulting Services management systems, by the autority of Bureau Veritas Certification, from the date of 27 March 2015 and under the Certificate No: TR33064, has been audied and found to be in accordance with requirements of the GWO criteria’s for Training Provider Offering GWO Basic Safety Training: 2012 including Training Modules of Working At Height and Rescue, First Aid, Manual Handling and Fire Awarenes.
